Flake Colors
Epoxy flake floor colors
Authentic Torginol® flake blends — from subtle neutrals to bold multi-color mixes — sealed under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat.
Flake — sometimes called chip or fleck — is the classic decorative garage floor. Colored vinyl chips are broadcast into a high-build epoxy base coat, then locked under a clear polyaspartic topcoat. The result is a seamless, non-porous floor with rich texture and depth that hides dirt and wear, cleans up with a mop, and lasts for years. Below are our most-requested Torginol® blends, the full palette, the three chip sizes we offer, and custom sports-inspired mixes.
A quick tip on choosing: lighter, neutral blends brighten a garage or basement and hide concrete dust, while darker, higher-contrast blends hide tire marks and everyday wear. Then the chip size fine-tunes the whole look — a bold 1/4" texture, a refined 1/8" blend, or a fine, near-solid 1/16" finish. Whatever you land on, we bring real Torginol® samples to your free estimate so you can see the actual chips in your own light before you decide.

Flake color questions
How do I choose a flake color?
Start with the mood you want and the space itself. Lighter, neutral blends brighten a garage or basement and hide concrete dust; darker, higher-contrast blends hide tire marks and everyday wear. Most homeowners then narrow it down by matching their home’s trim, cabinets, or exterior. We bring real Torginol® samples to your free estimate so you can compare the actual chips in your own light.
What is the most popular flake color?
Neutral grey-and-black blends like Domino and Gravel are perennial best sellers because they suit almost any garage and hide dirt beautifully. That said, our top-mover list spans warm browns, cool greys, and blue-toned blends — there’s a favorite for every taste.
Will my flake color fade over time?
No. The flake is locked under a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, so it resists the ambering (yellowing) and fading that affect bargain coatings — indoors or out. The color you choose today looks the same years from now.
Does the flake color affect durability?
Not at all. Every color uses the same tough flake-and-polyaspartic system, so durability is identical. Color and chip size are purely about the look and feel of the floor.
Can I get a custom flake color or mix?
Yes. Beyond the standard Torginol® blends, we mix custom combinations — including Detroit sports palettes for man caves and sports bars, and your own brand or school colors. Ask about custom options at your estimate.
